Perennia: A Flower Delivery Experience

A UX Design Journey for a Mobile Flower Delivery App

About the Project

Perennia is a flower delivery app I designed during a university short course on UX/UI Design.

With my experience working in a flower delivery company, I was inspired to create an app that streamlined the flower ordering and delivery process.

This project focused on providing new users with a seamless experience in placing their first order and tracking its delivery.

The Learning Journey

During the course, we delved into key UX concepts such as Design Thinking, Customer Experience (CX), and the difference between User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI).

One major challenge was designing for a smaller mobile screen, which required careful consideration to fit all the necessary information without overwhelming the user.

What We Learned
  • Design Thinking,

  • User Research,

  • and Mobile UX Challenges

Brand Identity

The logo for Perennia was designed using Adobe Illustrator. I created a stylized ‘P’ in the shape of a flower.

The pastel color palette was chosen to give the app a soft, welcoming look, while the typography—Lavanderia for the wordmark and Helvetica Neue for the app text—was selected for its clean, modern appearance.

Designing the User Flow

I designed the user flow to prioritize ease of use for new customers placing their first order and tracking it afterward. Each step of the process was carefully considered to ensure a smooth, intuitive experience for users.

Reflection

Perennia was my first venture into mobile app design, and it taught me the importance of thoughtful user flows and attention to detail when working within space limitations.

The project helped me further develop my skills in both UX and UI design, preparing me for future challenges in creating intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences.

A Milestone That Means So Much

This certificate may just be a piece of paper, but to me, it's a reminder of the hard work, learning, and growth I experienced during this course. It's a small but significant step in my journey, and I'm excited to share this with you.
